Was running pilot powers, the bike wasn't too bad :D Just some scraped fibreglass a bent brake lever and a slightly more ground down footpeg. All I got was a grazed elbow
The annoying bit is that I'd only put the bike back together and resprayed it after stacking coming out of turn 2 on the ...

Tuesday evening giggles
Howdy all,
I dunno if this is the right place to post this, but I just thought I'd give you guys a cheap laugh at my expense.

Still not quite sure what happened, but it was wet. There may have been oil or I may have just grabbed a bit too much throttle ...

subframe woes
Hey guys,
Just looking for opinions here, I managed to bend the subframe on my trackie at the weekend and I'm just wondering if I'd be better off trying to straighten it or just chopping it off and making a custom unit?
Bike is a 1996 zx6r by the way

Re: Handlebars
You could always replace your bars with a set of Vortex or woodcraft clipons.
To remove the part in the picture, just loosen the upper and lower triple clamps and slide the fork leg down enough to get the bar holder thingy off the top of the fork. No need to remove the triple.

Re: Your first time, deliberate? accidental? painful?
Turn 1 at Mondello park, on my firestorm. On my first trackday.
The track was wet but the organisers convinced us that it'd be sweet to ride on .
Turn1 is a nasty right hander, and there was a big fook off puddle right on the apex.
I came into it a little bit too quick and scraped knee and boot ...

F2 all the way, awesome trackbike. Mine is running rougher than a badgers butt and still manages 1.09 dead around broadford.

Why not just tap/thread the hole to fit a larger bolt?

Re: D.I.Y Fairing painting (Track bikes)
I resprayed my bike recently(gun, acrylic), wasn't too bad although I didn't do a great job on the clearcoat.
You'll be fine with it near your engine etc.

Re: Unsure about a 96 ZX 6R
Mate,
I recently bought a 96 F2 as a trackbike and have to say it absolutely hammers along.
Just watch out for warped front discs, corroded/siezed caliper pistons and the usual stuff.

Re: Brake upgrade question
I was actually gonna pm you about that Mitch, saw your website and we seem to be of similar dimensions.
I dunno, I reckon I must be doing something wrong. Gonna re-do my sags etc as that may be where the problem lies. I'm back out at broadford in August so I'll have a bit more of a play with the ...
