Re: US ECU into Aus ZX636 05/06

don't know why you would want to do this as thw US ecu will cut you hp by 5-8hp
watched a guy do the mod on you tube to bridge the ecu to get the eruo/asian map thats in the ecu allready.
used gitar wire.

cloud 9

But it'll make more hp than the Oz ECU without a key

Re: 05-06 636 info

It check both close and open and expects the servo to stall, henmce the stop added for both directions. I'm sure someone with electrical smarts can fool it.

Re: 05-06 636 info

Probably fails the self test of the servo valve. Look up what it should have installed to prevent this. Some have a bar that limits stroke of the servo valve. Is the servo still installed?

But the extra $ he'll spend on engine mods to get the extra 36cc won't be worth it

General consensus in th 05/06 is the pick of the bunch of the 636's.

US ECU into Aus ZX636 05/06

I'm after info on the wiring mods to put the US ECU into the Australian Wiring Harness on a ZX636 05/06. I had the info some time ago but have since misplaced it. From memory one pin needed to be grounded and another pulled up to 12V (switched?). Anyone help?

Re: Fairing respary / repair

Have you priced parts from US ebay? Heaps cheaper than Trevor Jordan

Sure can be repaired. Don't need spray putty. Hi-Fill primer does the job after you vibrate out the deep gouging. Factor in the price of OEM sticker.

Alternatively a complete set of Chinese fairings might be same price as ...

Bear in mind where they are coming from if you are in a hurry. Not much freight getting out of UK/Europe with the volcano shit going on.

Re: keys for ZX636 2005 Model

Think you got most of the answers you wanted.

Additionally, Black (slave) keys can be cloned. Do it before you lose it obviously.
Or you can get a non immobilised ECU or RACE ECU (cheap now they aren't current models)
Or you can cut the chip out of the key and glue it in place, prevents immobiliser ...

Re: Front brake adjustment on 06 ZX6R

I know the feeling after changing my front brakelines. First attempt at bleeding didn't get all the air out.

If the bike is new as you say, drop it back in for a proper bleed under warranty. It shouldn't need new fluid being so new.
