I've got one on my 08, and it's offensively loud :)
However, I've had my mate ride past me on it and as a bystander on local roads and at legal speeds, it's not that bad (but it's still loud).

As a track pipe, it'd be perfect

We have one on a 2010 model and it is a bit loud but is fine with ear plugs.

If you mean the removable baffle, yes it is still in. There is no way you would ride it on the road with the baffle removed. I have a full Akra system on the ZRX and can hear the 10 when it comes up close behind me and can hear it over my bike when it is in front of me.

yep Baffle makes a big difference noise wise. ALso I found it had better bottom end punch on the road with the baffle in.

You talking about the boom box(pre muffler) or the quietening insert for the tailpipe itself?
Im running the akra link pipe(does away with the pre muffler) and yoshi r55 slipon on mah 09, and its got an awesome growl to it and is on the loud side aswell

just the insert into the pipe. The M4 does away with the boom box as is connects straight to the headers.

bet the M4 is louder ;)

Yeah it would definately be louder from the lack of tail pipe :P Mine is enough to get me into trouble very easily and has alot more of a muffler
I wouldnt last 2 minutes riding up the main street of my home town with the m4, without coping a canary

Ive got an 08 zx10 now and ive got an m4 on mine... And to be honest i really love it.. Give it such a a mean note at all rev ranges... EXCEPT when just highwaying it... It pisses me off to no end cause its droney and shit.

However once you get onto the throttle sounds mean as! and looks the goods too. Ive got the baffle in mine and i think its way loud as is now so without the baffle im a little worried!!!

Id get one not only for looks and weight saved over the stock setup, but ive noticed motor seems to breathe alot better and goes noticable better also :D
