oh..stupid question from Neka time again...the front sprocket on ur bike isnt irish thread is it?? ...i seem to recall the sprocket turns in a conventional manner and sum nuts might be irish??

also... u made sure the whole chain/wheel wasnt moving??

No, the nut ain't Irish and the bike was in gear with a mate holding the rear brake on. :-p

Looking for now, pending solicitor costs :( But yes shhhh don't tell Kris off to look at the Triumph 675 and get details of lowering it etc then going to do the same when the '07 ZX6R is in :D

Dunno it is a stupid question actrually Neka as when you think about it the sprocket does indeed rotate the way it would be undone if a RH thread but just done mine 2 weeks ago and it was a RH thread...

ummm i do mine while its sitting on the ground..basicaly if u use ur marks on ur swing arm u should be ok...if the arse end wobbles when u ride u will feel it..also u will notice if its not square the chain will jump off....

ive never had a prob with aligning mine using the indicator marks on the swingarm...

Yeap it can be done on the ground. We can do the string thing and get it all good :D Up to you the garage is here and it's yours if you need it. You have my number so just buzz if ya wanna give it a go :D

FINALLY got the c*%^ of a thing off!

Had one of my work's mobile mechanics bring his van around and help me remove it.
I had soaked it 5 times in WD40 in an attempt to penetrate the bond.
He had a big air compressor (with an engine attached to it) and a 600 ft.lb rattle gun.
Beleive it or not, the 600 ft.lb gun couldn't crack it! By this stage I was not a happy camper. :evil:
In a last attemp, he got the cold chisel and a hammer and gave it a few big hits. Got the rattle gun again and hey presto!
I'll go for a ride tonight, when the weather's cooled down and let you know how it goes, down-geared! :D
