Re: Zephyr 750 or 1100
I'm heading to Sydney next month. Could turn it into a road trip if that would help. I'd have to ride it down through as we'll already be towing a car down for Motorex.

I had good luck with my joe rocket nitrogen gloves. Not sure if you can still get them though as they are quite old now.

Re: zx12r radiator fan
It's easy enough to check if it's the fan motor. Just pull the plug from the back of the fan temp switch and use a wire to short between the 2 terminals. With the key on you should hear the fan start up.
I've just had a similar thing happen on my zx6rr, temp gauge in stop-start traffic shoots right ...

Re: parking light staying on
You didn't accidentally turn the all the way clockwise (rather than anti-cloclwise) when you parked?
Some models (not sure about this one in particular) have a park position on the ignition switch. It allows you to park the bike but leave the parks by lights on.

Re: Brake calliper rebuild , need some advice please .
Have to agree with most of the suggestions. Clean the pistons with fresh brake fluid and if you must gently with a scotch brite pad. Clean all the crud out of the internals with brake cleaner and then blow them out with air.

That sounds like good news (unless you were really hoping to go for the 1224 kit
). Hopefully with new gaskets and seals in the top end your oil issue gets sorted

Re: ZRX CAT
Did you put other cams in? What about the ignition advancer? Mine is currently +4 degrees. With the increased CR it may have to go back to standard.
Bill.
I've got a set of Kwick's Yoshi replica cams in mine.
I changed the advancer back to stock as well but I also have a different ignition ...

I'd suggest probolt-Aus.
Perhaps something like this. Just make sure you check the bolt size and length

Thanks mate. The rear is a 6 inch with a 190 on it. Needed to trim the chain guard but only a little. You'd never notice unless you're particularly intimate with the partGlen wrote: Mate. Looks sensational. What size are your wheels ie did you go 5.5 for the rear or 6.0

Just curious....with the 1224 kits from APE, what do they charge to ship from the states and did you have to send them an exchange block?
Thanks mate!
Postage of the kit from APE ran about $150 if I recall correctly. I ended ...

You can look up the parts diagrams or just put in the part numbers and it'll give you a description and model identifier. If it is used on multiple models it'll just give you the latest (I think). Also, it's all in japanese
