parking light staying on

Hi guys,

As the title says the parking light (rear brake) decided it would stay on tonight when I parked my bike. It normally turns if when I take the key out buy tonight that wasn't the case. I know it turns on when I turn the ignition on but when I turn it off or lick the steering it had always turned off.

Any ideas???

Fyi I have a stock 2006 zx6r only mods being slip on and braided lines.

Also, rear brake in brackets doesn't mean it's the rear brake light but the parking light that is in that assembly.

You didn't accidentally turn the all the way clockwise (rather than anti-cloclwise) when you parked?

Some models (not sure about this one in particular) have a park position on the ignition switch. It allows you to park the bike but leave the parks by lights on.

You might be right hahha I was in the dark when I parked my bike. I'll let you know.

Some of them (I think the last zx9r) were fully ANTI clockwise for park light.

Right you are. The key was turned the other way which I have never done. They're embarrassing.
