i have placed an order with precision shims. the guy there said the ZXR250 uses 7.9mm shims which they sell as the 8.0mm shims (rounded up).

Hi guys,
Im checking the valve clearance on my 1992 ZXR250C. i've measured all my shims etc just not certain if i should be ordering 8.00mm diameter shims or 7.5mm diameter shims?
My existing shims are measuring 7.95mm diameter so im assuming 8.0mm. Although, doing some searches i have come across ...

Hi,
I have a 92 ZXR250 and want to change the brake lever as i have a bit of a wobble in it. Im assuming the bushing in the lever is worn.

Hi all,
I went for a long ride today and my thottle open ended up having about 10mm freeplay. I adjusted the throttle open cable nut and took the slack out and i have no more free play.
The problem is, my thottle close works fine when the steering is turned hard left or centre..as i move it to hard ...

The issue was my cam chain tensioner..pulled it apart, cleaned it and the problem is fixed. guess the tensioner was just stuck from all the gumming.
