Hi all,
I went for a long ride today and my thottle open ended up having about 10mm freeplay. I adjusted the throttle open cable nut and took the slack out and i have no more free play.
The problem is, my thottle close works fine when the steering is turned hard left or centre..as i move it to hard right, the Throttle close slows down (it does not close as quick), if i turn it hard right..it sometimes doesnt close throttle.
I think its as the cable stretches hard right its contributing to the problem.
What is the proper way of adjusting the throttle open/close?
Im thinking now i should of maybe loosend both the open and close and readjusted? this way they counter balance each other?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Cheers

Re: ZXR250 Throttle Adjustment
There should be about 4-5mm of free play so when you turn the steering it doesn't affect the idle of bike.
Adjust the free play and turn the steering to see if it affects idle
keep giving slack till its good, if it's needs more then 5mm check cable route and make shore it's not getting pinched and looks "normal"

Adjust the free play and turn the steering to see if it affects idle
