Re: To Blip or not to Blip

blipping is definately a great skill to master, without a doubt... it wasnt long before i started trying it..... however it was quite a while before i got it somewhat right..... it will take quite a long time to get used to your bike, engine, gearbox, and most importantly... the FEEL of your bike ...

If u don't have the confidence in ur bike... Or the balls to try something new or out of ur comfort ...

Re: Popping mono's (wheelies)

Yea SA police are nazi's when it comes to these new hoon laws.... It's ridiculous... It was classed as reckless driving.... It was a mono from a standing start at a set of lights... He had no serious priors.... Certainly nothing criminal.... I think he had a speeding fine... (small one) and maybe ...

Re: Popping mono's (wheelies)

Perhaps not such a good idea... My mate got caught wheelstanding last December... Had his court day yesterday... 12 month loss of license and 3 months suspended sentence on a 12 month good behavior bond... Plus fines... Plus court fees... Plus $1000 impound fee.... That's gonna hurt...

Re: Popping mono's (wheelies)

cheers for the advice guys..... yea i have found that around 20km/h..... and drop the clutch in (in 1st gear) @ around 7.5-8k rpm will get it about a foot off the ground (with clutch engaged in 1st.... 20km/h is around the 4k rpm mark)... tried one dropping the clutch in @ same speed but @ 10k rpms ...

Re: Popping mono's (wheelies)

Yea..... I can get it into a mono easily enough..... By popping the cluth anyway..... I have tried without and reefing up on the bars..... But it's pretty pathetic... Like 6 inches off the ground at most... Lol... But with popping the clutch in first I can get the front wheel to around chest height ...

Popping mono's (wheelies)

Hey guys..... Just thought I should ask for some advice/pointers here... But I have started practicing popping mono's on my 250 ninja.... It's a pretty violent 1st gear pick-up..... I was wondering first of all what I should watch out for in terms of damaging the bike.... I.e. Blowing fork seals ...

Re: a noob to add to the fold :-)

Welcome mate..... The 250r in black is definitely a sexy looking beast (for a learner anyway lol) i have the exact same, but with an akrapovic slip on carbon exhaust...... Sounds a lot nicer..... Nothing like the postie-bike sound of the stock one! =P but there us a lot of knowledge and good people ...

Re: 2011 ninja 250 performance tweaks...?

Having just had the benefit of riding Vivek's ninja 250 and having ridden many ZZR250's, my suggestion is to leave it alone. The power is delivered on the ninja much better than the ZZR. The ZZR motor happens from 10-14. Whereas, the Ninjas is delivered mostly around 7-11. Right at the best part of ...
