This Blade just keeps getting lighter and lighter........

Doesn't it!! According to here:
http://www.motorbikes24.de/16094+M5993e329100.html

here:
http://www.biketome.com/bikes:honda:cbr ... blade:2001

and here:
http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/honda_ ... e_2001.php

It's 170kg. Dry!!

162Kg. Come on Neka. Wake up. It's a big fat pig of a Honda for crying out loud.

ok..well its nice they over inflate the HP..i kno the rwhp on my bike is 138 running PULP...also kno that STOCK they are 170kg dry...by the time u cut out bits & pieces here, take off this and that, i trimmed a few kg off it...
162kg was just a random number, fark sum of u guys take things so bloody anally!!...

It's just that within days it had gone from 164 to 162. I thought ya musta let some air out of the tyres

C'mon guys, give the little fella a break. A couple of pages back someone was commending him on his helpful post. So Neka must be feeling exhausted after that mental exertion and subsequently prone to the occassional technical error.

Anyway, 162kg or 170kg in a sports bike... as if that makes a difference

You might not think that 8kg makes all the difference, but it obviosuly does otherwise the manufacturers wouldn't be trying to make them lighter.

And the other point is, that 170kg is a dry claimed weight. By the time you add grease, fuel, oil etc, it's well up on that figure.

Errr, I know. I was being funny (or trying too).

Every Kg is like free hp (I think the ratio is 4lb is worth 1hp). Then you start talking about rotating and unsprung mass and we are getting even greater gains.

Ahh, sorry, missed that. I have no sense of humour so I normally overlook such things. Can I be forgiven?

half the time we dont kno..and half the time we just guess...

manufacturers lie...

oh..and u never let the facts spoil a good story..just like any other "fishing" story...only my bike gets lighter...by sat nite at Diesel's it will be all but 90kg..like a 250gp'er...

Actually Mina, that's not true. It's surgically removed, not lost.
