Gen 3 ZX10R - Anyone had this happen before.....

......hit the starter & the tacho goes right around & back to 0(like it does when you initially turn ignition on) & in the process it cleared the time(clock) & reset the trip meter back to 0.

Bike was warm not cold start as i'd been riding for about 15 mins & pulled up to go into a shop. When i came out & hit the starter ^^^ happened.

Started the bike about half a dozen times this afternoon with no issue.

This has never happened to me before.

Anyone have any ideas ?

Mine does that when the battery is getting low.

You also find it puts the shiftligh back to like 8grand

Greenmeanie, have you followed thru with the factory recall for the dud regulator/rectifier? You may be starting to show symptoms.

Yep did the recall for the new reg/rec earlier this year. Fitted a new battery about 2 weeks ago & no drama since.
