Anybody that goes to 55 from 50 never looks back. Do you have a hugger though? A 55 can be too tall without some adjustment to make room.

I have a hugger - Brand is Pyramid (carbon fibre lookalike)....

I will be replacing Michelin pilot sports 200/50 on rear, I guess i'll just ask when i check it in for tyre replacement whether the 55 profile will cause issues.

Well I just put a new set of Q2s on the 12. 190/55 rear, and yep, she fits inside the hugger. There is a bee's dick in it though.

GCC hugger... Everyone told me how tall the Q2 would be but I estimate it's only about another 1-1.5cm taller (talking radius not diameter), which still fits inside the hugger, if only barely. It's now about 5-6mm worth of clearance at it's closest. No spacers required.

I run a GCC hugger as well, you do get clearance for the 55-profile tyres, but its close - avoid riding on gravel roads !! or the little bastards will end up getting caught .....

That's brand spanking new 190/55 Q2's after 2 sessions. The JPM photos confirm that I'm carrying a lot more lean angle than I was on the 190/50 Michelins, probably just my improvement from last time but I'd like to think that some of it is tyres.

Very happy with the tyres but it's fresh rubber and freshly scrubbed in rubber is always awesome. Not as squirmy as the michelin's but still squirmy under braking in particular, maybe it's just my fat arse.

Just put this photo up so others can see the hugger clearance.

Rear tyre for 12

Yep great tyre, the only down side is the rear tyre life.

But hey they has better life than the Bridgestone R10's. They seem to decompose just sitting there
