From Power commander site.

Power Commander Quick Shifter
Product Overview
Normally during "up shifting" you must roll off of the throttle and pull in the clutch in order to engage the next higher gear. In racing (both drag and road race), split seconds count. Rolling off the throttle, even slightly, slows your times and can be the difference between winning and losing. The Dynojet Quick Shifter (DQS) allows full throttle, clutch less shifting. This is done by momentarily cutting the fuel and or ignition, which unloads the transmission. During this time, the rider can shift up to the next gear without rolling off the throttle or using the clutch. The Power Commander incorporates all of the Quick Shifter functionality in with the main fuel controller and is fully programmable*. No cutting or splicing of your bike's wiring harness is necessary. The amount of "kill time" is adjustable by the user via the provided software. The user can also set a minimum rpm for the system to function. This keeps the system from activating at too low of an rpm, such as low speed road riding.

Now the * states CERTAIN bikes require the QEM.
The 04 to 07 zx10r do not the 08 may.?

worth looking into before anyone buys one...
It definately works without one in the 04 / 05 zx10r.
It also suggests the zx12r doesn't need one..

If you go to the Power commander site and put in your bike details, it will tell you if additional products are needed for the quickshifter..

It appears the 09 + zx6 and 09 + zx10r require the QEM as they have 8 injectors or something..
From PC
The QEM allows the Dynojet Quick Shifter sensor to be used with the Power Commander V on bikes that have 8 INJECTORS. The QEM connects to the upper injectors and then into the PCV. Once the sensor is attached you will have full Quick Shifter functionality at the LOWEST COST POSSIBLE!

Sorry, just been looking into it and edited my post.
I believe the only bikes that need the QEM (non seem to need the iginition module but it can be used instead of the QEM but costs more) for the quickshifter to work is the 08 + zx10r and the 09 + zx6r.
Something to do with 8 injectors. (the QEM is $125 us).

It would also have me believe the zx12r doesn't need anything either.
and yes it definately works on mine with just the PC 3.

If you go to the Power commander site and put in your bike details, it will tell you if additional products are needed for the quickshifter..

Thats odd when I go into the zx12r info - under the Products notes / Warning all it states is -
NOTE: When installing Quickshifter Kit, use the "Push" type Shift Rod Sensor and one Shift Rod A.

Yes you can buy an ignition module for it (same as with the 05 zx10r) but it doesn't need one to run the Quickshifter.

But if you look at a bike that does need the QEM (or module) like the 09 zx10r it states
NOTE: Requires Additional Dynojet Products for Quickshifter Kit to function, Call Dynojet for more info at: 1-800-992-4993

Pretty much the only ones that need anything extra are listed on this page - I believe. http://www.powercommander.com/powercomm ... odule.aspx

an e-mail to PC will clear it up.
