Bit of HELP!!!! needed here

Post by RustyAs »

I have ad a family of small black ants (1000s of the things) set up camp in the instrument culster of the ZZR11oo

I have removed the cluster unit and I am almost able to remove the outter casing.

The only thing stopping it from coming apart is the reset button for the trip meter. I need to undo or remove.

No amount of manual searching is helping.

Any suggestions???

Nothing aside from wishing you the best of luck as the only suggestions i have would all be considered facetious.

Rusty, download a workshop manual for your model .... it should have the info you need.

Thanks guys

I've got a manual, and i checked the one on here but no detail.

On another front they seem to have vacated the premises, so I have put it back together so now the F@#*&inf tacho wont work. Only had to disconnect two wiring harness plugs, so wasn't that technical. Unless there is some "no no" about how you handle the bits and pieces when they are out, I put it back together exactly the same way, so I would have thought there would be no issues.

Seiko,
Thanks for that, had the same pic but was unsure about unscrewing the button on the trip metre, :? but thought, well its stuffed any ways, so applied a bit of extra pressure and it screwed off.

So went about taking the Tacho, Speedo andthe lights and other bits and pieces out, there were literally thousands of them, and their eggs. Just spent the last three hours carefully cleaning every knook.

Will apply a bit of high pressure air tomorrow just to make sure, and hopefully it will go back together ok.

Cheers and thanks for the help

wont that make it prone to fogging up? or the light would probably dry that out pretty quick.

Just spray inside with surface spray flyspray stuff.
