Check with your third party insurer, sometimes they can help........
You may be able to claim on your Body Corp Insurance as they have admitted partial responsibility by knowing the security gate lock was broken..... The Body Corp Insurance may then claim on the guy's Insurance who "fixed" the gate.... worth a phone call to your insurer........

I will try my insurer tomorrow and see what they say.
If I have no luck there I will send the body corporate my bill as well as 3 of my neighbour's bills.
Apparently 3 other cars were broken into.

not very smart theives,up here at the moment they are just walking or breaking into peoples houses while your watching tv or having a shower ect and grabbing your keys then just driving off.they are game fuckers i spoke to one lady and she was watching tv when they came in the back door grabed her purse, phone and keys then just walked through the lounge and out the front door and took her car.
might be a stupid question, but would you have rathered it be stolen? if this ends up costing you a grand + for repairs, and the theft excess with most companies is like $250-500?
depends how attached you are to the bike tho i spose.
The ignition is fixed.
I, on behalf of the other people in my complex, are writing a letter to the body corporate including our bills from repairers.
3rd party does not include theft as no one would include it when I signed up for it.
The repairs cost $370 so the excess would have been more anyway.
I bought a U lock, a disc lock & will use my cover all of the time now so hopefully they will be a big enough deterent.
You will never guess what happened today either.
I was pulling up in the shade on the side of the road and the front slipped in wet leaves and down she went, fairing scratches all down the side.
I choose not to care as it will only make me upset.
It is a dirty big matte black Kwaka and shall remain so.
I might get some matte black spray paint if I feel like it.
I might just graffiti the rest of it.
Any talented graff artists in Melbourne who want a different kind of canvas?
