hmm, hadn't considered the cost of rego, will check that out.

Thinking about a hiace, etc not euro as we really just want a cheap second car, seems like they are out there but rare.

Not really too concerned about how they are to drive, as its just a car, (second car at that).

Thanks for the info all, guess I need to get out there and look at whats around.

Yep liking the iLoad. diesel is only a few grand more. Comes with pretty much everything standard except for towball. The desiel has the 500kg extra towing capacity at 2000kg

Hey Russ you can also get it on a lease plan for work at a cheaper price (usually, Dizz got our new car on a lease and saved about $4k) and trade it in at the end of the lease and get a new one

Rented a diesel iload not too long ago to transport some equipment for the second job. Approx 300kg in the back from Sydney to South Coast and it did it with ease! ;)

Definately go the diesel. The difference in economy when carrying a load or towing is much less than petrol, the engines should last longer and hopefully the resale will be higher.....

Don't buy an E1800 if you want to put a dirtbike in the back. What a FARKING PRICK to get a dirt squirt into. I measured the bike was only 50mm higher than the GN250 I usually put in and the bastard wouldn't go in, mirrors removed. I am loaning my bike trailer to someone tomorrow so had to put the DT into the van. I ended up tying the suspension way down with tie downs and still struggled with the F'ing thing. Need a higher van! Don't think I'll bother trying to get the ER6s inside the van.

Mate who is borrowing trailer just came around with his 91 Hilux SWB van. Lower floor and higher roof than the Mazda. Looks longer too. :(
