That's a fairly typical selfish outlook from an 'un-rider'. MY bike is only worth $xxx so I'II take MY chances. What about MY car that you might hit? Your average Falcodore these day will put you in the shit for around $40k, so you only need to hit some sales rep out on the road and you are in it! The insurance lady mentioned above didn't talk about the $20p/w for the rest of your life because it's uncommon. It's VERY common.mick_dundee wrote:I for one am not insured, so if noone wants to ride with me as a result, that's fine. Insurance quotes for me range around the $800 mark, bike is probably worth 3k, 5k absolute max so i'll save my $ and take my chances. I think i'm a fairly competent rider and definately wise enough in years to not be trying to out ride the Mick Doohan's of the world, or even the wannabe Mick Doohan's, happy to go out and have a fang and ride home at the end of the day instead.
I'm full comp, always have been even when it cost me a fortune when on my P's. But if i had a worthless POS I may consider 3rd party/property.
