06 ZX10R lap timer not working?

My lap timer on the bike OEM isn't working. Anyone had this problem?

one of the buttons might be rooted.

does it start and stop but not lap? or does it not start at all?

my 06 zx6r doesnt count the laps but the timer works......pulled the thing apart but couldn't see anything!!! maybe a common thing?

yeah it is more than likely, just thought with waggy01 asking it might have been something that happens a bit....too lazy to fix it anyway and not that important

my 06 zx10 lap timer wont start. it was working then when we replaced the MC with a Brembo it hasnt since...

Ok I'll but a ohm meter on it and test it, thought I'll ask the question first. I sprayed some magic spray (CRC)in it and no go. The dash stays on the 0000000 and the button does jack shit.

so your start button on the right side switchblock doesnt start it?

maybe its dead.

Could try checking the fuses under the seat. From memory it is the horn fuse that the lap timer runs off. i removed it for a track day and couldnt figure out why the lap timer didnt work. Put it back in, problem solved.

There are wires hanging everywhere

yeah its plugged in! i dont use it anyway so i havent bothered to fix it.
