To put yourself at risk is one thing. But when that risk extends to other innocent parties, then I have an issue with it.
I'm a shade under 30 (enjoying it while i can) and been riding since i was 23 or so). I have a sport tourer 900 (at 934cc) that i feel totally confident on (though i admit i could handle a lot more effectively). Sure its a few years old and only 50cc under some bikes that have been classed as a litre bike. But i have yet to even TRY a zx10 or gix thou as for some reason i think with the massive changes in grunt from my bike to one of those i'd be shit scared i'd kill myself, or at least get pinged at double the speed limit.

Only double?? ---- that's second gear!!

I was trying to show *some* form of restraint in passing that little bad dream along.

I really liked this bit.

A "Goon" hit a good mate of mine, drove into a roundabout right in front of him, he ended up with a broken leg in 2 places, smashed his knee which had to be pinned, broke his collar bone and wrist, bike was totalled.

I'm sure he would have loved to "just swap details with him/her and ride off..."

Amen to that... I work in insurance and i hear this sooooooooo much about people riding bikes they aren't legally allowed to ride or cars they aren't legally allowed to drive. Insurance is void soon as u do this... No exceptions....

Its not exactly a smart idea to ride something u aren't supposed too... Just coz someone is doing it doesn't mean u should do it!

I wasn't even in 3rd gear when I came off from a moron doing a uey. I have had two hand operations and 3 months in total off work since nov last year. So you don't need to be going fast to crash. It's not just you, it's the other imbeciles out there (why do they always drive white commodores too?) who you have to look out for.

If you're not insured and some pillock does a uey in front of you and knocks ya off, then you will know about it!!

Licence restrictions are there for a reason.... Sure they cater for the lowest common denominator but so be it... live with it.

I was lucky enough to live in NZ where you can reduce the time on your P's by doing a defensive riding course.... But yeah, if you get caught you deserve to be in trouble :)
The world is round. It has no point.
