what if your caught riding a 600cc on your motorbike P's??

Post by sly_papa »

topic ^^ I live in Adelaide and i know so much people who ride without licence even 600's and litre bikes. I own a 250 and iv got a year on my P's and im confident on my uncles r1 and cousins gixxer 600, and i really badly want a 09 zx6r :( even if i rode it once a week i dont care cause im also buying a trail bike for going to work in and the zx6r for weekend riding and everything else! thoughts? In WA, i no the fine is 170, and 3rd time caught is court appearance but come on i no someone whos rode for 25years with no bike licence. So i was curious on the fine in Adelaide, i called the traffic people up and they said you loose no demerit points but couldnt tell me the fine and gave me the number to a police hotline which are closed so i thought id post here.

It was going to be insured under my Uncles name. And i wont crash cause i wont be going fast  I rekon if i didnt have insurance it would make me a better rider cause i wont push the limits and id only do what i have to do no speeding ect so its not a total loss. As i said if its under my uncles name if i drop it it will get fixed, if its stolen replaced and i wont be getting into any crashes caused by me so it wont matter ;) And if some goon on the road hits me or anything its his money :D And ill just swap details with him/her and ride off... but i know what use mean no insurance  I might just wait the year do the right thing and in that time id be much better then i already am and this time next year get a 09 zx6r cheap through the runout sales at the end of the year or even a 09 model zx10r seeing as i will have enough moola by then :)

Mate, the bike insurance is the least of your problems...

If you injure someone and you don't have the compulsory Third Party insurance, you'll be paying that shit off for years.

wait it out.

Just a tip: Posting your intention on a public forum to do something illegal may not be the wisest decision... :?

Not to mention that it would be very hard to prove it wasn't your fault when you aren't licensed. That would often mean a criminal conviction if they hit you with neg driving or something similar.
See here, young man,

From Conroy's Gap to Castlereagh,
There's none can ride like me.
