Consider this; They started making them in 1988 and they're still making them. TWENTY years of production's gotta say something, hey?lilyofthevalley wrote:I bought a GPX after talking to a number of motorcycle shops/riders etc and they all recommended it as a great first/learner bike.

Yep, I had one they are a great bike to learn on alright. The fuel tank isn't that large, but you get 90mpg on the fuel that's in it (approx 30km/litre).bonester wrote:Great bike to learn on. Big fuel tank and reasonably comfy means you can tour on it.
Nothing a sheepskin can't fix.Ratmick wrote:...that seat has TEETH after about an hour in the saddle. An all-dayer will leave you with a walk like Gene Autry..
GPX tanks at 18 litres should be good for over 400km touring. Compare it to some bikes I have and that aren't as economical on fuel- Bros 12L, CB400 17L, Z440 14L, Spada 250 12L, GN250 10.5L, 535 Virago 12L, etc[The fuel tank isn't that large
Thank fark you didn't go that route. *hurls*pinorkal wrote:...I was also considering Yamaha 250 Zeals...
