Sorry lifeofcrimeguy, I was assuming it was part of your practicum and wanted to ensure you were providing a lesson that had a functional purpose. It sounds like an activity to give you public speaking practice early in the course and clearly most of my advice is useless to you for this lesson. Reflective practices are an essential component of good teaching so focus on that and give a relaxed presentation.
For what it's worth, I ride because I love the sensation of speed and balance. I'm a thrill seeker and can use my bike to gain the sensory input I seek everyday. Besides, trafic jams are a waste of life.
Good luck with the DipEd. We sure as hell need more good teachers so I hope you enjoy and succeed with it. This will be my eighth year in the field and I still look forward to going to work. Teaching is harder than most realise but also a lot more rewarding than you'd think.
