Ok the one comment that actually includes truck driver and abuse but you miss the point ....it was a truck being driven.

Could be described as a big thing with wheels being operated by a person but becomes a bit less obvious.

Smitty would also have posted ".....fuckwit dog team driving nun" if those had been the facts I am sure
Just one more law and everyone will be safe.

All too often people pull in front of others regardless. Either they didn't see (=didn't look properly), didn't correctly judge speed (=didn't look properly), or thought fuck it I can make it OK (=didn't look properly).

There is no excuse, less so for professional drivers who are out on the road 8 hours a day and are driving something weighing several tons.

I have written to the newspapers letters column and expressed my concern over their bias.

I emailed a few words to them also Mike! We'll see if they respond???? :?

On the subject of people pulling out in front of bikes, I have had two rather interesting incidents in the past couple of weeks, which sort of made me look twice, but then was sort of the thing i'd expect too. Both time it occured coming through Pakenham. I was travelling in the left lane at about 90 indicated in the 80 zone (with playshcool clock error, that's about bang on the limit, so not speeding) when a Harley rider who was turning left onto the road I was on from a side street, literally just pulled out in front of me!!!!!! Both occassions I watched the rider see me, look me in the eyes, then proceed to pull out on me. If I were not paying attention we would have collided on both occasions.

The first time it happened, it was some patch gang rider. I probably in hindsight shouldn't have, but I pulled up next to him and gave him an ear full. It was a waste of breath, he just continued to look tough on his bike and ignore me. Now that naturally spurred me on somewhat, and I started making derogatory remarks about the air compressor he was riding! That didn't seem to get his attention, so I criticised his patch (can't even tell you who they were, but I told him that the Rebels bitch slap your pussy members, cause they don't like hitting girls! This didn't even raise an eyebrow!!!! :? Maybe he was deaf?

The second time it happened was on Sundays ride. Same deal, almost the same side street too, maybe one or two further along, and this sunday warrior on his air compressor with his girlfriend on the back does the same feckin thing! This time I side standed the bike at the lights and went over and turned his compressor off, then had a word with him! Turning his bike off didn't please him for some reason, however at least then I had his full attention to berate and belittle him in front of his biatch!!!!
He was much more reastive than the patch guy was. This guy even fired back up! It was awesome. I bit of road rage at the lights in Pakenham from two Bikies!!!!! After saying my peace, I timed it so that I had just enough time to shake his handlebar, just putting him off balance enough to give me time to get back on my bike and nail the just turning green light!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it would happen on a bike, unless you felt you had some god given right to have your harley in front of a Jap bike on the road! I know I always make sure there is nothing coming when I pull out on a bike, and if there are bikes, I make sure I have enough room to pull a nice wheelie and get in front, otherwise I don't pull out!!!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

It seems living out in the sticks has its advantages ...

I've only had three really close calls with regards to others trying to share (read: take) my road space on any of my bikes.

The first was a little scary - I rode through the middle of an accident as it was happening. Couldn't have done much about it, although a reasonable degree of situational awareness had me on the brakes very early in the piece. Some moron decided to merge into the back of another car, when they had a CLEAR LANE IN FRONT OF THEM!!! Total: 3 cars totalled, one fairly nasty ding in the back of a Falcon, one quite pumped up rider.

The second saw my little brother get a verbal reaming from me. His, "Didn't see you - you must have been going quick," response nearly earned him a split lip, which is pretty extreme from me. For the record, I was doing 55 (true) in a 60, he was stopped at a T and only looked one way. I don't think I scared him enough, though, as he still has little idea of what's happening around him on the road.

The third was three weeks ago. Some bloke in a white ute decided to turn in front of me, again from a T. As he turned right, his head turned and he noticed a weirdly coloured bike pretending it was a unicycle, so he stopped. In the middle of the road. IN FRONT OF ME. The clever chap was most apologetic, but I wasn't in a particularly forgiving frame of mind. The fact that I avoided him did improve my mood somewhat, though!

I find B.M.W drivers to be pretty bad at looking around when they pull out !

The day i bought my gpx 250, i was riding it home, and this wanker in his white beamer decides to pull out of the servo without even looking, i ended up having to go onto the other side of the road to avoid him, luckily there was no oncoming traffic at the time, needless to say he got the finger (almost pressed up against his window, that's how close it was) and a good mouthfull of abuse, while my wife and kids were shitting bricks following behind in the car, they all thought they were about to witness me getting wiped out !

Correct wording should be

Yet another cockhead in a truck who doesnt give 2 flying fucks about anyone but getting back to their depot so they can jack off to some more bea arthur porn, once again demonstrated that a frontal lobe is not a pre requisite to obtain a license to drive a vehicle weighing in excess of 10 tonnes today, he did this by blatantly ignoring the fact that he was not the only road user awake at the time, and performed an act which, in a fair and just society, would be considered to be vehicular homicide.

Truck driver is recovering after the trauma of destroying someone elses life and is expected to receive a hefty fine and a stern talking to, while receiving workers compensation.
