Or if you really can't wait.... the 06 six.... you won't regret it....

A bonus over the 10....less rear tyres consumed, cheaper insurance.....

and damn they are fun :)
More power does mean more tyre wear, if you use it... a 12 would be worse as not only is the power up from the 6, but it's also a lot heavier too.

Insurance is $25 a month more for the 10, and that's less than an hours wages :D

IF ya didn't want new ya could of got Kris to sell the 10 you hated so much
Already asked, he's sold it :(

He's offering me some very good prices on new bikes, but maybe not the 07 zx6 and if I get a new one I don't want to wait another month. I was planning this for before Christmas. In reality it's between the 6 and the 10. I want the 10 but the six is probably more realistic. Can't find a dealer in Melb with any 12s left.
Shit on it hey :?: Me is witing for th e'07 ZX6R too. If we both get one perhaps we can get an even better price

Am almost 34 with protected rating 1, assuming I don't have any more claims in the next 18 months. Also don't have many points (3 that expire in 6 months).

If you are considering 2nd hand, seriously evaluate a 9 mate! I'm struggling to work out what I would get after the 9??? I'm thinking maybe getting a new motor for it when neccesarry, and blinging the suspension. I just don't think anything else could do what the 9 does! :)

Why do you have to limit yourself to a kawasaki?
There are plenty of other good bikes out there from other manufacturers.
Obviously you do a lot of commuting with the occassional weekend blast thrown in and as you said you need something that will carry stuff readily.
The 12 would be my pick from the bikes you have posted, but as you said you dont need all that power and then there is the tyre thing.....been there done that with the busa.
As mentioned a kwak 9 would be ok,but seriously from what you say you need from a bike,i reckon a vfr is the go.

I see most manufacturers have a very similar range. 600 sports, 1000 sports, 600 & 1000 naked based on the sport. Each has a big tyre chewing tourer etc. I'll admit to looking at the VTEC VFR when it first came out, but it's too weighty and underpowered for serious twisties. As there's not a lot of difference between the main 4 and I've been a member of this club nearly 2 years (as of 15th Jan 07), and ridden a Honda the whole time, I think a little loyalty is in order. I also happen to like both the Kwak 6 & 10.

I think the 9 is a great bike, and if I could buy a new one it would have a place on the list.

Have you ridden one?Yes the specs say they are weighty but they hold their weight very, very well.As far as power, well if you are talking twisties then power isnt an issue, its all about handling.I have seen plenty of bigger sports bikes trounched by much smaller bikes at the reefton and black spurs.
Anyway botton line is its your money and your decision, good luck with it. :)

Mate, i know this is a kwaka forum, but don't just look at green (i know all of us a loyal to some degree) but just test ride all 1000's and if you want a twelve, ride the busa's, ride the blackbird, etc.
