What a bummer.
Good that you had crash's on, though. Most people only put oggs on AFTER they drop their bike!
My knee hurts like hell,
Look on the bright side -> You got your knee down! Woo Hoo!

Sorry to hear Lozza. I wish I could get oggys for mine, but it requires cutting big holes in the fairings - and I see that as defeating the purpose.

Hope ya knee heals soon, and to see ya on a ride sometime.

Well I've done the run around getting quotes and I met with the Insurance assessor this morning who give me to go ahead to repair the damage.... the quotes came in at $5500

Wow $5500 what a rip no wonder insurance is expensive. Just by comparison I hit a roo in the car last year, fair knocked the front in so it was guard, bumper, headlight, door skin plus plus plus and the quote/repair was $3500.

Glad your OK and I hope the other rider is suitably *educated* now.
Just one more law and everyone will be safe.

I know I couldn’t believe it.

On one hand I think what a rip off, but on the other hand I think my bike is 2 months old and I want it back to the original condition it was in before this prick ran into me.

I was really expecting the assessor to query it but he didn’t seem one bit concerned. Maybe cause it wasn't my fault and someone else's insurance is paying for it.

You also have to wondering about these insurance companies when the guy has to ask you what a cowl, crash knob, and fender is, I could have pointed to anything.

Good News about the insurance Lozza.... My Insurance company authorised my repairs today too! YAYAYAY! qcheerleader.gif

Just gotta see if I can get it back before Christmas now...

Have had a look into crash knobs for the ZZR but apparently they dont make them?

I know a girl with them on her ZZR and asked her about them - she said they were on there when she purchased the bike... on closer inpection of them I can see they are custom and not very nice looking at all....

Anyone got any idea's on if I can get them made to look good???
