Looking at the prices listed for US and Canada doesnt seem to bad for what you get?

Also based on what I read, I thought that the reason Ducati wanted a 1200cc limit (in 2008) is so they could cut costs (expect to see a new 1198cc motor this time next year). This limit may also see BMW, KTM, and a few other manufacturers racing in SBK.

As I understand to get the 999 competitive with the 1000cc 4s Duke have to spend a heap off money on tech parts and then have to pull down and rebuild motors after every race meeting. They have agreed to go with lower tech to reduce costs and this will mean having about the same HP as they do now which will be on par with the 4cyl guys.

Really where is the next V twin after TB's?

Or they can use the same tech on the bigger engine and blow the 4cyl into the weeds

My understanding is that Ducati receive dispensation to uptech the twins at the moment to keep them competitive. With the 1200 cc limit they won't be allowed to use as much tech.

It will be good to see KTM and BMW in SBK since it seems Kawa doesn't really take it seriously nor even does Honda. I hope Kawa run a serious SS campaign next year with the new zx6r, which looks awesome.
