Post by rocco »

Hi GUYS AND GALS,

rode the bike today till it ran out.

was only 3 kms from servo.

What range have other users gotten on their reserve tank on the gpx250r?

what should it be giving?

cheers

i get about 300kms from mine before reserve.

and about 50 kms on reserve.

so depends on your riding style and also on the bikes tuning.

But your GPX is running insanely lean there Kellz, 14:1 on the dyno, wasn't it?

Like any bike with such highly tuned engine the 250 will chew either none or a ton depending on how much load is on the sucker.
You'll get a lot less at a track day than you will crossing the Nullabor at 110k.
I would be stuffed if I would risk pushing it for want of trying to squeeze an extra k or two out of the tank... (I speak from experience)
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

I get between 380-400ks before reserve and then the most Ive got out of it is 439ks , not sure how much reserve I had left.It is using a little more since I put 2 extra teeth on the rear. I do fill ithe bike up right to the top of the neck.

I got 270 out of the 12 last weekend, and it still had two litres left in it.
Imagine me on a GPX, I could probably turn 500k's from a tank.
