Hey guys should the spigot on the front stand be a neat fit in the neck of the bike? I reckon it should as obviousely it is part of the lever so to speak. The biggest spigot is to small for the 7 if that is the case as the freeplay allows the stand to touch the fairing prior to lifting the bike. No big deal I'm just going to make a sleeve for it so it fits snug, but as I havn't used these before thought I'd ask the question incase I'm mucking it up. Bikes allways look better on race stands - cool.

I'll let you know what size it ends up being. Its no big deal, I'll just sleeve the spigot and she'll be right. I still consider these stands to be a bargain versus what else is available and the quality is excellent.

Well I only ordered last Thursday and my stand + other bits turned up just now, so I'm very happy with the speed of the deal. Front stand looks to be very heavy duty, about to try it now :)

the hole diameter is bigger than the biggest spigot :D

can these spigots be bought seperately to fit the 7 :?:

How to use the Headstand

Post by fZ1000 »

We received our nice red headstand, looks good.

Now - how do you use it?

The top part swings back and forth, so I'm a bit hesitant to try it without proper instructions - it looks like the bike will just roll backwards or forwards. Is it only supposed to be used in conjunction with a rear stands? Can anyone give nice, detailed instructions, preferably with pics?

Also, on both the Z750 and the Z1000, the hole under the headstock is quite large - seems to be double the diametre of the largest spigot. Will this cause problems?

Uh oh, after these posts I had a look and yep 7's are way too big eh?
Comes from having that hole for the adjustable headstock on the RR...

Yes you will have to sleeve them up to fit (unless a bigger is avail?)
IT will be pretty risky and costly to have a sloppy fit...

Also I know we are ozzies and dont read instructions, but in this case they were fairly explicit in how to use....

this is mine now that it is all together.

it may take bit of a sicence lesson to explain how it doesn't fall down in a heap, but remember one thing; MAKE SURE THE REAR END IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED (sorry about the caps & colour  )
