What pillion accomodation? Basically, if you will be pillioning a lot, don't get a Z1000, it just isn't comfortable for either rider or pillion. Due to the slope of the pillion slip, and the lack of anything for the pillion to hold onto (other than a silly seat strap which is useless), the pillion has to lean forward into the rider to hold on. This pushes the pillion into the rider, pushing the rider forward into the tank. Being a boy, this will get somewhat uncomfortable for you in the nether regions... The FZ1 is great for pillioning, comfortable, roomy, & well balanced.

As for the handling, he hasn't had a chance to get the Z1000 out in the twisties yet, but that will be remedied tomorrow! :P He says that in a bike magazine he read last year which compared 6 naked bikes, including the FZ1 & Z1000, the FZ1 topped the list in power, but the Z1000 came first overall due to completeness of the whole package. His personal opinion is that if you want power and comfort, go the FZ1, if you want power & nimbleness (and don't pillion regularly), go the Z1000.
Cheers,
Anne

You mean something slower so you can keep up?

Well I have commenced the trick it process. Today a new set of handlebars (On sale at PS for only $60, Bargain) :D went on the Hornet. They are similiar to the other bars I had, just a tad higher and a bit more swept back. Probably about where I wanted them originally, but couldn't find them at the time, so it's worked out well.

Next step is to go and see Ken Onus from megacycle and see what he can make for how much!

I have ridden a Beull (an XB12 I think it was) about a year ago, and they do Handle like a GP bike up the spur, with mad brakes. And the doughy power and midrange torque are lovely. But the vibes are Horrible, the fuelling is snatchy, they are in no way comfy over a long day, and offer worse wind protection than the Hornets meagre screen does. Plus they don't actually produce much power. If I turn Hells Angel, then it will be on top of my shopping list OK!
