What are your thoughts on the pillion accom on the Z1000? And what does Jeff think of the Handling of the Z1 as against the FZ1 Esie75???

What pillion accomodation?

Basically, if you will be pillioning a lot, don't get a Z1000, it just isn't comfortable for either rider or pillion. Due to the slope of the pillion slip, and the lack of anything for the pillion to hold onto (other than a silly seat strap which is useless), the pillion has to lean forward into the rider to hold on. This pushes the pillion into the rider, pushing the rider forward into the tank. Being a boy, this will get somewhat uncomfortable for you in the nether regions...

The FZ1 is great for pillioning, comfortable, roomy, & well balanced.
As for the handling, he hasn't had a chance to get the Z1000 out in the twisties yet, but that will be remedied tomorrow!

He says that in a bike magazine he read last year which compared 6 naked bikes, including the FZ1 & Z1000, the FZ1 topped the list in power, but the Z1000 came first overall due to completeness of the whole package. His personal opinion is that if you want power and comfort, go the FZ1, if you want power & nimbleness (and don't pillion regularly), go the Z1000.
