Others to consider I have found reasonably if not the best are AAMI and NRMA. AAMI was the cheapest I found, however I am with NRMA as we have claimed through them before without issue, multipolicy discount etc...mick_dundee wrote:Far canal, mine is ayear younger, locked in a garage and one accident and I pay a k more... Swann or QBE I reckon will get my $, perhaps Arista is another option.

Received a letter from Shannons today, thought my luck had changed but alas it's just spam to get a quote for bike nsurance, not to advise me I had won the 20g, that's still forthcoming I guessx.
A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

I've got my car & bike insurance with NRMA, for the car, i've been given the pleasure of having my car value reduced to 8.5k from the 12k i paid just on 2 yrs ago) and now im being asked to pay 15 or so more each month for the privelidge. (thats from 141/mo ->166/mo or so). I have the bike on 3pp with NRMA too for about 20/mo or so.
I'd switch to shannons in a heart beat as they will insure at 12k value for only 1400/yr (which is good for me given how much people have tried to screw me for insurance
),
except.... what about when it comes to green slips? i've got about a $300 discount on the bike greenslip ($640 down to about $360 or so) due to having car comprehensive insurance with the nrma, anyone got any ideas apart from "bend over & take it" ?
