Great post, cheers Mick.

Shame about their site though. I decided to get a quota, it went to a bike area, then asked what CAR I drive and would not accept bike details

*edit, found another link that worked, not that competitive though

Mike, they will actually give you a quote for a bike, you're able to selct the model even thugh the site mentions cars only.

Give you a rough idea quote for comprehensive for a 1996 ZZR600 with 1 accident in the last 5 years and the bike garaged all the time, $1500.

And people wonder why my bike isn't insured, don't think they will take too big a chunk of the market with that sort of pricing personally.

As mentioned in the insurance thread elsewhere, I rang just about everyone when my policy was due for renewal. Shannon's were cheaper than anyone else and by a considerable margain.

shannons are great if you have more than one policy through them, say one modded car, one standard car and a bike, my mate saves thousand literally from using shannons,

one down side you have to be over 25, so i can use them yet

I had my old Sunbeam Alpine Mk II insured by these guys...
I just filled out the online quote, got referred to talk to them, and the quote they've given me is $660, which is $400 less than I'm paying now!
Also, they have the following:
- $500 excess
- cover for $3K of riding gear p.a.
- 1 free windscreen replacement p.a.
- pay by the month at no extra.

I'm swapping! Otherwise I wouldn't do this commercial!
Thanks Mick! Champ!

Mick, I have emailed Shannons to ask if they offer discounts to bike groups, so will let you know when I receive a reply.

It'd be great if we could save KSRC members even more $
