I have them on my track tank, used it one whole time since fitting them!
but they are sticking pretty good, i just cleaned the tank with some prepsol then stuck them on. The edges on one side are coming up a bit but i just stick it down with a bit of race tape

its a common prob on the b1 / b2 636's (03/04) ive had it a couple of times but only when changing oil, never had a problem apart from that!
to get it pressurised again after an oil change you have to start the bike, undo the oil filter just a bit til it spits out some oil, quickly nip it back up ...

haha i dont think there is anything i can say, i wouldnt do it, moving from a 250 to a 600 will feel like a rocket anyways.. you will have more fun on a 600 as you will adapt quicker, your riding will improve quicker and i honestly believe in the end you will be a much better rider.

03/04 6r's came stock with a 520 setup aswell
