Had the exact same thing happen with my pilots, only had about 2000km on them, was a bit worried at first but didnt affect anything so didnt worry too much more about it.

At least l now know why that groove is there...

There a bike shop over here that does the ZX9R sticker for the front fairings for $20 a pair, any colour ya want. Don't know if that a bit pricey for ya...

Looks great, just had mine resprayed 6mnths ago in impulse blue and rims sprayed in black, looks similar to yours.
Also had the pillion handles removed and holes filled, looks much better than original blue.

'Buy it now' price seems a bit over the top... saw it the other day and had a bit of a chuckle when l read it had been 'chipped'
Would LOVE to get that kind of $ if l ever sold my 9
