Pics of my project so far..
I've finally got a pic of the zx9r, to show you all where in at. So far i have stripped it bare, then had the frame , swingarm and wheels powdercoated black.. Which came up nice.. I have put all new bearings in it while its apart, and just cleaned and painted various bits.. I have just about all the parts i need except for a headlight,, and maybe the standard headers which hae a bit of a bend in them.. So if anyone has either of these and want to get rid of them give me a holla...

great to see a 9 getting some TLC.
If its a "C" model I have 2 full stock systems if you need some bits. Cant help with the light though.
Kepp up the good work, ya gotta luv tha 9

Nice work so far!
Going from the front guard I assume you are going with blue? Standard plastics?
Need some polishing work done?

Pretty sure its an "e" Phil. C model headers are 2mm smaller diameter and wont fit these.Phil wrote:great to see a 9 getting some TLC.

couldnt tell from the pic, the subframe connection is hard to pick up if its welded or not, other than that they look pretty similar from that angle.Slow and wobbly wrote:Pretty sure its an "e" Phil. Yeah its a c1, the subframe is welded on, the black makes it hard to see i know.. As for polished bits, I dont think so. im not into that, goin more for that black satin look.. Just puttingthe stock blue plastics back on, i like the blue, as its similar to my 06 speed triple. Where abouts are you located phil? i am interested in a stock set of headers.. i have a bolt on can for it, so just some headers.. I might try and straighten these ones this weekend, and i'll let ya know if i need them or not.. i'll add some more pics as i progress...

Got a great bike there. Looks good with the black frame. Blue is the best colour.
Post some more pics as you go.
Gotta luv the 9.
