(both my bikes are single seat - $200 a year each)

We replaced the exhaust/pillion peg hangers with vortex ones, very nice :D

shoei x1100 area noisy helmet, the lighter and more ventilated a helmet is the noisier it tends to be.

Mikeman, according to Australian law a helmet without the sticker is equivalent to you not wearing one at all. Voids your insurance and it is a fineable offence and probably points.(don't know ...

From my point of view, if you think there is a compression issue I'd check that first, if it's stuffed you really may be better off not worrying about it.

To rehash a old thread (shame on me first time I've ridden the bike since I posted this thread)

I took it in for it's first service today and mentioned it to the workshop bloke and he said it would be because the engine's so tight and the fuel is going off because it hasn't been ridden.. does that ...

Has the helmet been used at all?
What happens with helmets is our sweat extrudes from our heads and into the helmet foam lining, and that is what degrades them.
If the helmet has been used at all, I'd be hesitant to use it (imagine a foam esky over time - it breaks down and falls apart)

I think it's an old helmet
There will be a manufacture date on it somewhere, under the liner, sometimes on the straps.

*edit* found them on the net for sale in 2003.
