Re: Flywheels KSRC Dyno Day! -23rd Feb.
I'd like to add my thanks to the Flywheels crew for putting on the day and showing so much support for the Kawasaki faithful (as well as a few interlopers). The ER6 came out with its held held high.

Re: Flywheels KSRC Dyno Day! -23rd Feb.
I've only just picked up on this, I'd love to throw the ER6 into the mix, not sure if you've hit the magic 30 yet, if not, please count me in for a dyno run also. I'm not far away, so can be there nice and early. I might leave the baffle in the Arrow pipe, apparently the little bike has a big voice ...

Re: Braided lines
I have, I fit them to all my bikes, I prefer the consistency of feel. To be honest, the brakes are improved far more by a change of pads (the standard ones are absolutely shite), I use EBC HH, they totally transform the bike. The lines (Goodridge) cost around $200 fitted, as I recall. Of course ...

Re: ZXR250C - what can you tell me?
I have a colleague who recently bought a ZXR250 from a dealer, who shall remain nameless, at least for now. He's not the most cluey of blokes when it comes to bikes and was told his bike was a 2003 model. I know nothing about this model, but alarm bells were ringing straight away, as the bike looks ...

Re: New rubber for my bike whats good?
Cheers all :D i knew asking about tyres would be opening a can of worms lol. However I cant seem to find a bloody set of M3's in Brissy  so going to try the Bridgies. i i figure either of those or even the pilot power 2 will shit on the dunlops on the bike right now.

Re: What have I done to my ER6?
I'll get some photos up once the bike is clean (so don't hold your breath...).
Yes, that was me contributing to the suspension debate on ninja650.com, a useful website for ER6 riders, especially when trying to source parts from overseas. I can vouch for both the stores which feature heavily there ...

What have I done to my ER6?
Well, since you ask.....
Changing the bars dramatically improves the handling and feel of the bike. I used Ventura Street bars, which are lower and slightly wider than standard, throwing more weight over the front end, so that you can actually feel what the tyre is doing, rather than guessing ...

Re: ER6 blowing coolant
Slightly off-topic..
I didn't think you were supposed to run coolant on the track - only water?
On a track day, the organisers don't insist you flush your coolant and run pure water, at a race meet, it would be compulsory.
Possum, with regard to my bike blowing coolant out of the reservoir cap ...

Re: Metzler tyre specials.
Has anyone tried to buy these tyres (specifically Rennsports) from a dealer? Do tyres have a shelf-life? I loved Rennsports and would grab some like a shot (any hints for a supplier in Sydney?) but would be concerned that they might be a bit past it.

ER6 blowing coolant
G'day from a noob,
Straight to the point. Yesterday at Eastern Creek, my ER6 was blowing coolant out of the cap of the expansion reservoir. The overflow pipe was not blocked, the coolant level was correct when cold and the cap was secured properly. I now have lovely streaks of coolant over the ...
