Got mine today. Big thanks to Jason for organising this.
Now I only have to wait for the temperature to drop below 20 deg so I can try them out :P
I'm actually going to be living in a tent at Gundagai for a month in a few weeks time whilst I build the shed. I'm sure they will come in handy.
Thanks ...

Re: '93 ZXR750L Clutch (again)
If you remove the plastic inlet from the reservoir, you'll find there are two holes that allow fluid to move between the bore and the reservoir ; the smaller of these is the return port. I don't recall exactly how this works, but the bottom line is to make sure both ports are completely clear ...

Thanks mate, I'll see what they quote postage at.
The website says shipping to Australasia 25 pounds + 20% of order
I'm sure they can do better than that

Re: '93 ZXR750L Clutch (again)
Gos,
I don't think that's quite right, mate. I'd have thought that apart from the spring in the slave cylinder (presumably designed to take up any slack in the system and keep a tiny bit of pressure on the pushrod), the hydraulics are no different to a brake system. As we know, it's easy to push ...

Anyone know where I can get banjo bolts for the clutch and brake master cylinders that have the bleed nipple on them? (bike is '93 ZXR750L)
Thanks and regards

Re: Multi angle valve cuts & match porting - Z1000
Hi all,
He quoted me around $1000 (Australian) to perform a 'multi angle valve cut' and a 'slight match porting'... Anyone care to explin in more detail WTF this is?! :?
Daz.

Re: '93 ZXR750L Clutch (again)
the clutch springs don't push the slave cylinder piston back in via the pushrod - the hydraulics actually 'suck' it back into the cylinder bore.
Yeah that makes sense. I was starting to think along those lines last night whilst lying in bed. Holding your thumb over the end of the master you can ...

Well I stripped the master cylinder down (found an exploded view on the net 8) ) but couldn't see anything wrong. Everything seems to be in the correct order and good condition.

Next bit back up the line is the clutch master cylinder, have you checked it out yet?
Nah Mick, I guess that's the next thing.
Problem is I'm not sure if I could diagnose (sp?) the problem by pulling it apart and looking at it.

I got sick of throwing empty stubbies at the bike and decided to have another go at fixing it.
The problem is clutch slip and have had this problem since I bought the bike.
Starts when bike gets hot - just a little bit of slip at higher revs which gets progressively worse over the next 10km's or ...

Funny - I was just talking to the missus last night about getting one of them. That rustle outside the window wasn't you was it?
Let us know how you go with pricing.

Re: My new project
Glad to see someone else tinkering with old bikes. I've spent a lot of my life "restoring" or rebuilding old Harleys and pommy bikes.
I got 5 velocettes in various degrees of dissasembly, a '48 Arial single, and most of a 1925 Douglas TS.
I find it really rewarding (and sometimes frustrating :D ...
