IceBreaker Thermals - Finally Here!

Post by aardvark »

OK, here's the deal.

If, as a group, we can buy 20+ garments, they will give us 40% off of the retail price!!

As an example a Mens Bodyfit 200 Contour Crewe retails for about $80. For us, it's $44 plus GST.

The gear on offer to us as a club includes the range of thermal baselayer tops and bottoms, balaclavas, glove liners, scarfes, the "pocket" and "chase" range of beanies, chutes, boas, some of the thermal socks. The price list and range is huge, so I'm not going to post it here. To get an idea of the retail price - check here:
http://www.paddypallin.com.au/default.a ... 23&brand=8

So, check their website http://www.icebreaker.com - find what you want and PM me.

I'll send you the price for all the garments you are interested in, including GST and freight to you. If you want to order after that, then post your order here (including the size you want) and once we get 20 garments we'll be set. Apparently the sizing on the website is pretty close to just right.

So, let's say you want the Mens Bodyfit 200 Contour Crewe in black. You click on the "more detail" link, go to the sizing guide and find the size you like. Then, PM me with what you want. I tell you that it's $44 plus GST.

They are offering a flat $15 delivery fee. So, the more items you order, the better off you are.

If you decide you want it, place your order in here. Once we have a list of 20 garments, we'll be away.

Jenny, this is the info I got from the distributor. The temperature ranges don't include good old windchill - so the faster you ride the colder you'll get. :)

"Bodyfit260 (good for down to -10 to + 15 degrees – you could wear it inside too as long as you take off your other layers as it is so breathable)
Bodyfit200 (good for down to +5 to 20 degrees)
Bodyfit150 weight thermals are a summer weight thermal and are excellent for wearing under your leathers in summer."

We nearly have enought to place an order - so if you're thinking about ordering anything. Send me a PM.

With the lack of orders, there may not be another chance to place another order.

To try and grab some interest, here's an example of some of the pricing: (All prices below ex-GST. Add 10% for GST inc)
Bodyfit 200 Lightweight Woman's Range
Tank - $33
Oasis Crewe - $55
Leggings - $49.50

Bodyfit 260 Mens
Slalom zip 260 - $93.50
L/S Crewe - $66
Legging w/Fly - $55

Bodyfit 200 Mens
Mondo - $66
Leggings 200 - $49.50
Run lite - mini socks - $14.85 but MUST order in packs of 3, so $44.55

Balaclava Midweight - $27.50
Glove Liner - $16.50
Pocket 200 - $16.50
Chute - $22

Those of you that have ordered have a PM confirming your order and payment details. This is seperate to the PM I sent you with the quote for the clothing.

If you haven't received this PM from me, but believe that you should have received one as you've "placed" your order, please let me know.

For those of you still wanting to order - there's a couple of days left. PM me now!!

Tick tock....

Important info for those that have placed orders:
It appears that the distributor and I suffered from the old "miscommunication".

They will ONLY send the goods out to one location (I can only assume the warehouse staff in New Zealand are a lazy bunch) :). So, I'm going to get them to send it direct to me. I'll then be sticking it in a post bag and sending it to you. I talked them into discounting the freight a little so everything should work out in the wash. If I'm out a couple of dollars here or there, that's nothing to worry about. Just buy me a beer next time you see me.

I've taken all the money and moved to the Carribean. Of course, with the money that's there I suspect my stay will only be a couple of days at the most... if I'm lucky!

Apparently the order got shipped out to me on Tuesday. It's being sent via DHL, so it'll probably be 3 weeks before I get it, if past experience with DHL is anything to go by. :(

If they manage to suprise me and pull their collective fingers out of their collective arses, it might roll up today. If it turns up early enough, I'll make an attempt at sending the stuff out via Aust. Post this afternoon. If it rolls up late, I'll package it and send it out Monday. If it turns up Monday, it'll probably go out Tuesday.

You idiot. You should have waited for the thermals to turn up and then moved to Antarctica ;)

That's a possibility. The problem is that I would have had to use the money to actually pay for the thermals!

Oops... misread the email I got from them. Should be leaving New Zealand on Tuesday - that's this Tuesday coming, not Tuesday just gone. Duh. Should be here next week. Apparently they are so snowed under (so to speak) with orders at the moment that they are struggling to keep up with worldwide demand.

Once I get a tracking number I'll keep you all posted.
