Come off a ZX12R or Busa or ZX14, and hop on the ZZR, you would be forgiven for thinking you had a tourer under you. But if take the ZZR for a spin after jumping off a FJR1300, VTR800, DucST4, etc. and to a lesser extent the CBR1100, you would definitely feel things have shifted toward the sports ...

I test rode a 14 recently and found the seating position more like my ZZR11 than the 12. It tips in much quicker than my 11 and handles much, much better... despite the Dollars I spent on the 11's suspension. I like it a lot and the 14 will probably make it into my shed, but I have just one ...

I can't live without it myself ... it's a great manuscript.

Although I can't fit into the sleeve of my bagster tank bra bag as it's too big (pity the French don't seem to have the same size atlas - maybe they could reconfigure the bag accordingly). I end up having to photocopy the booklet ...

Well, being a ZZR1200 owner myself (x2), can I say a few things:

I think we'll find that whilst most of my fellow owners are tempted to try the ZX14 (aka "Kawabusa"), I don't think many of them are going to trade up because the 1200 is a seriously good all-rounder of a motorbike.

Arggggggggh there's more to go! I got 200km/h out of my GPZ250R (same engine) going down the Toowoomba range- a hill with a 10% incline.....(1993 it was...do I sound old now?)

Just did 240kph on my ZZR1200 with a pillion and luggage on board. And it was still goin hard! Estimate with the close ...
