Howdy all,
I bought a ProCAT- laser chain aligner from Moto-Tech Diagnostics in Queensland last week. Easily the best bit of kit I have bought hands down. Makes adjusting the chain on the 12 very easy and accurate. $97 delivered.
Speaking of chains, the guys at Sportscycles fitted an EK 530 ZZZ ...

Braided lines for my 12R
Howdy all,
I want to have HEL braided lines fitted to my 06 ZX12R. My question is which type is best? HEL list two fitting types - Full race (two lines back to the front master cylinder) or Over (line from master cylinder to one caliper then over the guard to the other caliper). Which is best for ...

Re: Condition of VicRoad C543 (Omeo Highway)
Thanks for the info guys, I have just plotted a different route going a tad further west before turning onto Kiewa East Rd then onto the Kiewa Valley Highway, Mount Beauty and then the Great Alpine Rd.
Cheers and see you at the supers,
Mick

Re: Condition of VicRoad C543 (Omeo Highway)
Thanks TC,
Well I'd like to turn off the Murray Valley Highway and ride it's full length to Omeo. I did it almost 15 years ago in a 4WD and can remember 2 dirt sections. I have my route planned home, just planning the way down.
Cheers,
Mick

Condition of VicRoad C543 (Omeo Highway)
G'day all,
I've heard a few whispers that the Omeo Highway is now tarred in its entirety. Does anyone know if this is the case?
I am planning my trip to WSBK and would like to take this route but my ZX12R does not enjoy gravel fully loaded.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
Mick

@ Roadeta
Apparently these people www.houseofspeed.com.au are the importers for Sato Racing Products in Australia.
Hope this helps.

Re: ZX12R Rearsets
Hey man, long time.
I ride faster now so I could give you guys a better run on that big bloody hill on the way to Cooma ;).
I went out for a run with the guys from Cycle Torque, who politely gave me a few pointers on how to ride fast properly....let's say fuel economy is practically non existent ...

Re: ZX12R Rearsets
Thanks a ton guys. Has come down to prolly Sato or Gilles, but I would still like to get a hold of a set of Arata's.
Gotta get my finger out, Phillip Island WSBK is not all that far away now.
Cheers,
Mick

ZX12R Rearsets
Hi All,
Getting ready for the pilgrimage to Phillip Island WSBK, had a good year pay wise, so I am going to finish decking out the 12. Ignition module to partner Power Commander and a shift kit, but I am trying to track down some rearsets. I don't want to go any higher (I'm 6'6" barefoot) but would ...

Re: ZX12R and 190 rear tyres
Thanks guys :D,
When the HPX's are done and dusted I will grab a set of Metzeler Sportec M3's and give them a run.
I think we have met on the road Hoffy. You were riding with Phil Harlum and crew to the 2007 Phillip Island WSBK, you and the fellas rounded me up at the Cann River end of the Monaro ...

ZX12R and 190 rear tyres
Howdy all,
Amazing what fantastic spring weather and the bike running like a new one can do for the soul.
No rants this time. I want to try and make my 12 "turn in" better. I have had the suspension reworked and it is much better than stock, though it can still be a tad awkward when it gets tight ...

We've all had a bad experience in one way or another
G'day all,
After my last post (the 98 octane fuel question...which was a real eye opener), things went from bad, to worse, to abysmal then finally back to a bike I can ride fast and safe.....my bike. Almost 4 months without a ride longer than 10 kms (the distance from my home to the dealer) the 12 ...

Re: 98 octane - If that's the best they can do........
G'Day All,
Well at the end of the day it didn't turn out to be a fuel problem, though thanks everyone it turned into a very interesting topic.
My preferred tuning shop could get any info out of the ECU, so I had to take my bike to the dreaded dealer. Low and behold within 5 minutes the problem was ...

The plot thickens. Though it's a very good chance fuel had something to do with it in the early stages, it's an electrical issue now.
Bike is in for 24oookm service. Fuel injection is continually going into fault now every ride. If anyone has ever experienced a newish fuel injected car defaulting ...
