Re: ZX14 OK for long distance rides?
I have Genmar risers on mine and the difference between stock and not is amazing.
Rode the long way to Jindabyne - Wollongong to Bega then across to Jindabyne without a problem.
A good couple of hundred klms around the mountains the following day and then hammered home on the slab on the 3rd day ...

Re: Poor Service?........or
Jacket yes, boots no.
Unless the boots were coming apart it's a hard ask to have them take back something that is "only" uncomfortable.
But as for the jacket, I'd be throwing the biggest tantrum if they didn't take that back after 2 days, that's wrong.

Re: GoPro
Fixed mount to the bike also leaves you free to enjoy the scenery (especially here in the 'gong in summer) without having your footage pan left and right dramatically as something catches your eye

Re: GoPro
I'm using the chest mounted harness ATM for exactly this reason - feral HWP - only problem is the very dark tinted screen which obscures about a quarter of the field of view.
Thinking about mounting it on the screen but that then loses the POV effect a bit

$20k, what is gold plated?
Sad part is someone will buy it for near that, good luck to them, money and sense don't always go together.
that and you can't take it with you

Re: Identify the model ZX14??
Sounds like the current model to me.
Are the dials white or black faced ?
If they're black and the LCD screen comes up with an image of the headlamps on start-up then it's the current model.

Re: Barge Powaaaahhhhhh !!!!
That does look like the ducks guts.
Can you post up a pick of the bars please ? It's the only thing that bugs me about mine. The bars are still about 2" too far away for long distance travel even with the bar risers.

Er6 or Ninja 650 instead ?JimZXR wrote:Can't say I'd do it personally, I'd be more inclined to step off the sportsbike and onto something more comfortable and less eager like a mid sized naked?
But to each their own.
Take a test ride of the 300 down some familiar roads and see how it feels?
