Hey guyz
just wondering about something wierd my bike's been doin
when i give it some (hard) in 3rd-5th it sometimes revs but doesnt go anywhere so i have to back off the throttle and reapply gently to make it go
is that a sign that the clutch is cactus?
and if it is how hard is it to replace it ...

Ive adjusted the clutch to 4 so it should be abit easier to blip with 1 finger....
gonna be a fun ride to work tonite :D
yeah ive completely forgot about coverin the break lol
ZZR is a big heavy beast so i feel like a midget straddling a bushpig when i ride it :D

ive been relying more on power in 1st to get it going up, but my mate uses the clutch up method.

Gos does this method require the removal of the carbies or not?
i had a bad experience on my gpz aand since then i dread carbs lol

also any other painostring method of cleaning them up like scraping the inside iwth a piano string lol

i dunno if its better or not
but i kno the zzr comes with 2 exhausts n i got one and its carbon fibre lol
and the inside is all mesh with no visible baffles so it makes me think its a resonator lol
also i think its runnin abit rich koz im gettin shitty fuel economy....

ye ive learned heaps
i jsut want it to idle steady, pick up the front with power (2 inch dont count) and get abit more responsivness

when i get abit of cash together im gonna go -1 front koz i need a new chain anyway
but im seriously lacking power

i think i sorted out the problem.
it was the starter solenoid.
we took it off, then took it apart and put it back together after rewinding a few km of copper wire, now the bike cranks whenever the battery leads are attached :) so im off to buy a new solenoid YAY and the bike FINALLY starts first ...

smitty how do i check the electrical system earths?

im probably gonna buy a new battery this w/e as well as a starter relay, but im worried that the battery is not the issue. is it possible to crosscheck he reg/rec with another bike and see if im gettin a stable current

i got a 94 zzr which is very tempremental and is not starting

i got a new battery, tested the voltage of it running 12.5v and stopped. (i had to push it and its bloody heavy :P)

my dads friend ascertained that the starter relay is dead and thats cool im gonna buy a new one

I saw a smashed zzr600 on ebay for like 100 bux a few days ago in western suburbs it might still be there

i noticed if i kinda push the gear selector before i shift it is much smoother. i barely scraped the money together to get the bike so a new engine/gearbox is not an option just yet
i guess the oil change might be the way to go
