Seems you got lady luck on your side.....
that being said atleast you felt a bit more alive
There is a point in life where your adrenaline turns from "a bit more alive" to "feeling quite dead". I think it is somewhere in the 40's or 50's. Thankfully I haven't got to that point ...

Leak Almost Brought Me Undone
Just sitting here now calming frayed nerves with a VB after a close call only an hour ago.
I was cruising on my ZX9R B4 at 40km/h into a left hand, downhill slip lane when all of a sudden the back wheel felt like it had hit ice. Wobble wobble, I couldn't keep the bike into the turn so I was forced ...

97 ZX9R brake squeal gone
Hiya guys. I've had consistent squeal from the front pads of my 97zxr since I bought it. Pads are fine, plenty of meat, but I thought they were just a noisy sintered metal variety. Today I think I solved it after remembering something from the "net". When it was raining I never had noise from the ...

Re: ZX9R B2 muffler ID
KHI K 318 is the stamp, you are right, probably original muffler but the logo isn't a sticker, it's like paint but more of an anodised finish. This confuses me somewhat.

Re: Fuel efficiency...
Hi again,
Just been for a ride up in the Snowy Mountains, cruising at highway speed and still got less than 5 litres to the 100km!! Wow I love this bike. Considering I had strong headwinds most of the way, $20 to top it up at 300km, paying $1.70 for BP Ultimate wasn't a bad thing at all.

Re: Fuel efficiency...
G'day folks. I was reading this and with my new bike [97 ZX9] I was expecting to get around 6 litres per hundred or thereabouts giving me a range of about 300km+ from the 20L tank. However, I was amazed when I filled up at 200km and only fit 9 litres in. That means I'm getting 4.5 litres per hundred ...

96 ZX9R Plastic Oil catch???
New member, proud [absolutely ecstatic] owner of a 1997 ZX9R Ninja. After purchasing I had the unfortunate mishap of letting it fall over in the front yard [soft ground, side-stand went underground] and then discovered a small plastic container behind the left hand side fairing. Unfortunately it ...
