Fuel efficiency...

Post by Supafrog »

I'm sure this has been covered before... but..

What kind of fuel economy does everyone get out of their bikes?
Information I am after:

Bike Model:
Tank size:
Range with full tank - highway
Range with full tank - suburbia

.. and I think for the sake of sanity... I don't particularly want to know how far the track bikes get from a tank :P

i trust MickC's stats to be accurate, he can tell you the KMs, date, time how many Litres and even how much it cost him for every single tank of fuel thats ever been through that bike.

he can even tell you how many litres his standard kawasaki fuel pump pumped before it shit itself.

Unfortunately I didn't do it for the first year and a bit, but then the Bureau of Stats wanted me to do a "Road Use" survey and I had to keep track of it all for a few months.....and never stopped after that

I can give some pretty good estimates of how much it's used though, as well as how much I've spent of fuel since I've owned it.

Has a competition ever been had for best fuel economy on a long distance ride?

I keep a spreadsheet with breakdowns for main / reserve and charts etc for tracking totals for my fuel usage - doesn't everyone do this? :D :D
