Re: Nolan Helmet their after sales service.

should have taken note when it first started happening, but it wasn't that bad as its not really in the line of sight when it started and i kinda knew they wouldn't do anything about it anyway.

4 years is a long time. But if the guarantee says 5 years then why the hell not keep it for 5 years and ...

Re: Nolan Helmet their after sales service.

scratches occur on the visor naturally I'm not concerned about those(manufacturer cant do much about normal wear and tear). its the inch wide white scratches all the way along the top caused by the anti fog system that they sell that annoy me!
its part you pay extra for, if i hadn't used it my ...

Nolan Helmet their after sales service.

Just got back from speaking with the NOLAN rep about my helmets visor, basically the helmet visor has become very badly scratched between the anti fog mechanism and the external visor. (the inner anti fog visor has been rubbing the external visor causing scratches between the visor and the fog layer ...

Re: I wanna 10!

Even the sales guys at RR said the 10 had less low down punch than a nine. (Not that they are the be all and end all) but I assume they know how to read pamphlets and stats...

One of the sales guys at RR asked me what year my 636 was....................................

while he was looking at ...

Re: I wanna 10!

All I can say, looking at the dyno between a ZX9 and a ZX10 is that the only part of the rev range where the power curve is steeper on the 9 than the 10 is between 5-6000RPM. From 6000rpm onwards, the 10's power curve is far steeper. Sure, if you ride under 6000 rpm it won't pick up quite so quick ...

Re: I wanna 10!

what are you talking about this is interesting!

yeah ok its easy to remove the dip in power, but that’s not the point. (well my point at least) is stock is it "weak"* down low. and all I’m hearing is how its easy to remove the dip, how you can change the sprockets to make it quicker, how you can ...

Re: I wanna 10!

Now, I am unsure what ZX9R you own, but it's irellevent unless you're nine is a twelve or it has a little NOS or a turbo hidden in there, as no ZX9 I have ever ridden, standard or piped and even a worked one can hold a candle to the bottom mid or ezpecially top end of the 04/05 ZX10R!!

jump on ...

Re: I wanna 10!

I could potentially agree with this statement

"It doesn't seem to have the go because you are relying on your arse which is a bad judge. "

HOWEVER,
the power difference is quite noticeable just like the z1000 has a better midrange are you gonna to argue that now too?
(my nine is also tweaked ...

Re: I wanna 10!

no in all seriousness, the stock bike just doesnt seem to have the go, add the mods and maybe that makes a huge difference, I have no doubt it has power up high which is what the dyno reads....

looking up a dyno sheet for it now..

Re: I wanna 10!

Two things need to be clarified with all these posts about the 10's power or supposed lack thereof.

Firstly, state which model are you talking about, the 04/05 or 06/07.
The later models power delivery down low is much smoother than the earlier models, a deliberate attempt by the big K to tame the ...

Re: I wanna 10!

went for a test ride on the ten over the weekend and i'm pretty sure i can safly say that there is nothing to fear on this bike.

even when i snapped it open in first it was pretty tame. if i hadn't known any better i would have said it was a six.... all the way up to about 8k, then it started ...
