Re: Crashed.... Hard :(

Now I'm not suggesting that you have no reason to be upset, but I don't think you can crash much softer than that (see the title).

"If someone cuts you off and you crash in avoiding contact, it is still their fault."
I have the details of the fucker who "didn't see me" and insurance still told me ...

Re: Crashed.... Hard :(

Bad luck mate.

It's not the fact that you didn't make contact, it's the fact you have no details.

If someone cuts you off and you crash in avoiding contact, it is still their fault. You would need an independent witness, though, and of course a way of identifying the other person (eg. cab number ...

Re: Crashed.... Hard :(

Not once did I complain, make a derogatory comment towards the other car, or anything like that.

As for the 'What do you expect', I know how it works, i have to cop it on the chin.

Crashed.... Hard :(

Haven't had this bike for long (8 weeks to be exact, had a Z750 for a while before hand), and she's all dented. Sad

Went to a mates place to help him get his bike back to street spec, then went for a ride.

Turned left from East-West Arterial, onto Sandgate Rd (taxi in front of me). Taxi and i both ...

Re: Back on the Road - 04 ZX636

The Z was just unlucky.

2 fines in 200m, both for speeding, by separate radars.

Back on the Road - 04 ZX636

Well,

After losing my licence on my Z750 in August 06, , and being on good behaviour for a year Sept 06 - Sept 07 (1pt for 12months, lose it, and it was 10 months loss of licence) I decided to sell the Z750 before I started the good behavoiur.

I've now completed the 12 months on 1 point, and have ...

If you can pay off $1500 a month, why not save for a few months?
Save and hold off as much as you can, banks will like it (have a steady savings history) therefore you borrow less, and you have less interest to repay.

I for one don't like loans or credit.

And you also get a VERY discounted ...

I dont think any of you are getting the point.

Yes, I was speeding.
Yes, I know I was wrong.
Yes, I'm ashamed of it.

The point is that by incorrectly issuing the ticket, it changes my licence suspension around. Changes it from 3 months to 5 months.

That's the main reason I'm fighting it.

Just like drink driving, if your not in control of yourself, you shouldn't be in control of a car/bike etc.

No sympathy :)

You've got a bit of contradiction happening there.

You say that you got done "twice in a short period", and that the error in the date of the second offence affects the length of suspension you receive.

Since the double points for a second offence kicks in for offences less than a year apart ...
