Re: Z750 FI warning light, think I worked it out?

Unfortunately when a previous owner installed the exhaust they did a poor job and has resulted in burning out components in the servo motor and consequently the sensor circuit tells the ecu there is an issue therefore I either have to replace the whole servo motor (which includes the sensor circuit ...

Re: Z750 FI warning light, think I worked it out?

Be happy to mate ;)
Well I made another one this morning and used some electrical tape and heat shrink instead of the epoxy.....
Plugged it in and switched the ignition on and it worked :kuda:
However.....
I've found out if I turn the ignition on (or turn the bike on as well) within half an hour ...

Z750 FI warning light, think I worked it out?

The fuel injection warning light came on my '08 Z750 a little while back and I've had the bike pulled apart in the garage for a while now and think I've worked out what the problem is and what I need.

I've done some research and I think I could actually do nothing and it will be fine however that ...

Re: Oil color question, could use some recommendations?

Im no mechanic and still pretty new to bikes but I would say it's normal, if your still concerned change the oil and filter, then in another 1500km (when it discolours again going off what you have said) you'll be due for the 6000km service

Re: going for P'S test

Dont stress mate, it'll feel a bit awkward to start with but with a bit of practice it'll be no trouble, just do a little practice. throw some cones (or twigs) out in a quiet place and spend some time on it.

Re: going for P'S test

No, what I mean is your body is in a more upright postion (not necessarily bolt upright) - leaning the opposite way to your turn....your body should be leaning in to the corner when your cornering - the direction the bike is leaning. Because you are going at a much slower speed for the u-turn you ...

Re: going for P'S test

Throttle control, body position on top of bike (as opposed to cornering), look at where you want to end up (same as cornering), rear brake, clutch and smoooooooth. Practice and feel the bike/manoeuvre ;)

Re: Loan for bikes

I got a $7k personal loan from a credit union for a new 2fiddy (although I would now advise someone to get a cheaper/second hand bike to begin on) at 9.54% with no penalty for early pay out (they also offer quite reaonable interest rates for savings accounts) ;)
