Traitor....

Hey all,

Well, the time came to upgrade - had been looking around for a few months and...umm...well.....turns out it wasn't green:

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u21/L-A047/24122008067.jpg

It was a hard decision but in the end the R1 just rode better than the 10 (and any other current litre ...

Re: Unmarked police cars.....

I've seen the Hummer around the inner north. There is also a Chrysler 300c unmarked that hangs about the inner north. Lets not forget the Black SS Ute that haunts Mt Mee always doing low speeds hoping you will pass him on double whites.

At least we haven't seen the unmarked GSXR-1000s up here as ...

Re: Road rage

Then there was the woman who did go all the way to the end of the lane ... and just kept going, despite the taxi that had been trying to overtake her - as she sped up to block it

These people are just a special kind of stupid. Happened to my old man one day - comes to merge and some tool speeds ...

Re: New 08 ZX10R for $16,000

Hoffy: Started at $17.7k, then threw out $16k ride away claiming he was 'just seeing if there was a price that would convince me to put a deposit down today.' Said he could do $16.6k after that.

ZX9R01: They called me today already. :D Told the I was still thinking about it and I'd call them back ...

Re: New 08 ZX10R for $16,000

Was $16k ride away or +ORC?

I've got a current offer of $16.6k ride away - though the dealer put $16k on the table but took it back when I wasn't interested in putting down a deposit then and there....

Re: What are the new 10's like?

I test rode a few of the thousands today. Here's my opinion:

'08 R1 - A bit uneasy to start but after two corners easy to ride. VERY easy to ride. Tipped into corners easy, cornered like it was rails, didn't try to push wide even on the gas. The clutch felt rough and grabby off the line though ...

Good luck mate - with some small amount of luck the judge will laugh this all the way down the courthouse steps :-D

Out of curiousity - if they wrote a ticket for 183, its proven the speed wasn't 183 - won't that make the ticket....invalid (for want of a better word)??

So, that ticket is invalid ...

I test rode both of the bikes I have purchased - one through a dealer and one privately. I wouldn't buy without a test ride. I'd be happy to give the seller my licence while I'm out on his/her bike - that ensures that if I do go AWOL its not going to be that hard to have the police track me down ...

Dont these race riders except the fact that on a daily basis they are going out onto a track and doing crazy speeds around corners, with lots of other people on bikes? And knowing that do they then not except the fact that if they come off any number of terrible things could happen?

I imagine ...

How's this for a rub of the crystal ball...

...next year's ZX-6R will come in two versions; a short-stroke 600cc version, and a long-stroked 750cc one.

Suzuki are cleaning up with the GSX-R750. Be about time for someone else to wake up to the potential.

Even if that's only a rumor, might be ...
