Good antivirus software
I have been using McAfee but are there better programmes that people have used or recommend?

its cheap and the daily update and customer service is excellent
I also use it coz my old Uni Computer Science lecturer (since retired)
originally wrote the software ...and started the company.

I use VEt as well primarily becaus the IT compnay I used to work for got it at wholseale rpice but have heard good thinhgs about Grisoft as well. Like Jase you may well get away with it not using any but it's cheap insurtance angainst crap mail and nasties 

A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

i used to use grisoft, but then found the freeware versioin of the program clunky and shitty to use, used the full version for a bit and that was half decent, but required friggin around with the email settings to use the internal mail scanner and they had b-s with the registration system for a while, so i gave it the arse in favour of grisoft avg which is good and only requires a annual re-registration so they can track demographics of its usage.
